
About the recipe
I used to purchase a ready-made tofu spread, but I can’t find it since I moved to Saint John. So, I made my own, in one step, using a food processor. Never tried tofu spread before? It tastes like egg sandwich filling, in my opinion, which I am totally a fan of! I like this spread in sandwiches or to use as a dip with vegetables and crackers.

This recipe is SO easy to make and it’s a good way to use leftover tofu. Here are the ingredients you need:
- Firm tofu
- Vegetables: celery, carrots, green onions
- Liquid ingredients: dijon mustard, mayonnaise*, soy sauce
- Herbs and spices: onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, turmeric, oregano, salt and pepper
You could make this tofu spread vegan by using vegan mayo.

The steps
The steps? What steps? To make this tofu spread, you dump all the ingredients in a food processor, and blend them until smooth. You could also use a blender, or an immersion blender to make this tofu spread. Watch a video showing you exactly how to make this tofu spread in my Instagram Reals.

Tofu spread
Ingredients
- ½ bloc firm tofu
- ½ cup celery chopped
- ½ cup carrots grated
- ⅓ cup green onions chopped
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp soy sauce reduced in sodium
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pulse all the ingredients in a food processor, blender or use an immersion blender, until smooth.
